“Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness (TSM)” Workshop - for Humanitarians” - 2021

The purpose of this Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness workshop is to encourage and support humanitarian relief workers, therapists, coaches and/or educators to get acquainted and use trauma-sensitive mindfulness, and trauma-informed material in their groups, communities/clinic work; as it is of utmost importance when working with refugees.

Juditta is  an acknowledged international lecturer in the fields of Mindfulness and Mindfulness-based interventions, Trauma Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Resiliency building, and a seasoned psychotherapist and trainer. She is a senior certified mindfulness teacher, MBSR & MMTCP, a senior therapy supervisor, and with extensive experience as a cross-cultural group facilitator. Our director and the founder of MiA.

Juditta's experience with refugees and crisis areas since 2005 in various parts of the world, is through training and supporting counselors/therapists, medical professions, and grass root women groups, transgressing barriers of language and faith. Currently, she has embarked on a PhD research project with Jena Center for Reconciliation Studies, Germany.

This deep and gentle process leads to a sense of calm and connection to ourselves and others. Finding calm in the midst of chaos, and retaining connection, is truly a necessary tool these days, especially for refugees and displaced people; Not the least to those who care for them
